This game can become addictive

An enigmatic word

It could be a command

without the luxury of pronoun or article

Do it! – Just do it!

What about a cell unfettered

by determinism?

Free to make a choice

about what it will become?

No niche on the epidermis of a root for me!

I’m going to be a sex cell

and split by mitosis – whoopee!

Maybe its an unoccupied cell –

in a prison –

or an asylum?

Where a prisoner could linger

until he sees the error of his ways –

or a deranged mind could cogitate

for ever on the intricacies of a

meaningless word.

Perhaps it is something you get

without paying –

‘Buy one get one free’

I could use a couple of those –

especially brain cells to

replace the ones I kill off

by overindulgence in the ‘good stuff’.

Actually , in this case, it’s the name

of a game on my computer

that never gets boring because

it presents you with a new problem

every time –

up to one million variations

like life.

Got hooked early on Montana and Forty Thieves, keep trying to go below 400 on Minesweeper, and yes, I'm also hooked on the many challenges of Freecell. It's a wonder I have time to surf porno or write. ;-)
