Bruised, and battered for my sake,
All my sins on calvary tree bore,
Burdens of darkness weighed tons on him.

In my stead, he endured lashes,
In my place, he withstood pains;
Torns of cruelty tore his flesh -
His flesh so pure received lacerations.

He was bruised,
He was battered,
To restore my dignity,
He swapped his weakness
And gave me ability.

Your love for my soul,
Your love for my well-being,
Pushed, and swayed your decision.

A love so sure,
A love so deep,
A love so unfathomable,
gave me acess to your bounties.

I see your compassion
As an insignia for my freedom.
