(not a statement of fact nor of egotism...just a reflection... a statement of it's own, and of in kind.)

loner's
on our owner's
one's who own
their own
do what they do
without bein' shown
always seein'
the unknown
always bein'
a loner

lookin' at the sky
askin' ourselves
why?
am i this way.
hell who's ta' say
i just need ta' git away
to be alone
out on my own
a loner

bare ta' the bone
tired a bein' alone
but i'm a loner
a bare ta' the boner
an on my own'er
don't own
a god damn thing
'cept the song i sing
or a poem
that has it's own ring

a word or 2
yeah, that'll ususally do
long as i don't have ta' spell
ya' never can tell
what i might say
never know what i might pray
just let the cards lay
where they may

did ya' ever look
at a single star
in the time it took
were you that far
away?
anyway.

artist
poets
writers
old past mid-nighters
old fighters

loner's
alone ta' the bone
each out on his own
into the unknown
we've flown

into the night
into daylight
into hind sight
or seein'
just try ta' bein'
who we be
who we see
when we're alone
with we

an old stoner
an old
loner
out on our owner
yeah
