Genna Lyndsey prefers books to people. So when they get to close, she uses obscure quotes to push them at bay. But it doesn't always work...

This isn't advice, just something churning on my mind as I face up personally.

You can't run,
then again you can,
and you better.
You can't hide,
but you better try.
Something is going to get you eventually,
whether by choice or accidentally.

Life is like a game board,
around every corner,
around every corner,
something good or bad awaits.
Hopefully it is good.
But mostly things are bad,
or we make them bad.

Better know what's chasing,
turn around and start facing,
or keep on running,
before it start stunning.
And it will stun,
especially if you can't out run.
I faced what's chasing me,
it set my heart and soul free.

But everyday I run fast,
duck and dodge,
ignore and hide,
do whatever I can,
to be a better man.
It's try and improve,
or get stuck in the mud.

I use to be stuck,
never faced it.
I'm still stuck,
but I know why.
The fear part is gone,
now I sit throne.

I rule over my dark,
it rules me.
We struggle back and fourth,
fighting each other.
Right in the mist of show,
no one else will know.

they use to know,
because at times I let it show.
The perfect poem,
no such animal.
The perfect person,
we all struggle!

This makes me think of the jabberwockey. I just want to look around that corner. Very nicely done.

Sadly, very true, Grady - and conquering the fear part is probably the only thing that we can do.
