We unfold into being

Twisting turning

Defines our form

Music on the wind

A quiet tango

Speaks in whispers

Trembles in hope

Ours souls are green

So green

We approach God

Tree sap runs golden

We spring to life

The syrup runs down

Our fingers

Flowing sweetness

The air

Full of light

The earth

Hums and moans

The bees

Droan our nectar

We turn golden

The wind
shakes and drys us

We fall

Twisting turning

Defines our form

Music on the wind

Speaks in whispers

Trembles in hope

Our souls are not so green

Green enough

We approach God...

"Ouch, bloody heck, I nearly died" is what I said when falling from tree. No time to tango. Just stand up, and pretend I meant to fall!

Beaut' allagory. Very smooth write Linda.

Beautiful and transcendent, Linda! This is pretty much a perfect encapsulation for me - delicate and yet strong with all the profundity of life and nourishment within it. Love the sense of journey and progression in this - and the human metaphor is very striking. TY Kate xx

Great metaphors in this life-death poem. Wonderfully done as only a poet could express it.
