I hold the American Indian in great esteem...I wish to express this in the following poem..:)

The American Indian is not arrogant in his spirituality

In his wisdom

he dares not claim

over 'dumb creation'

For he knows

that the power

 of articulate speech

is a perilous gift

He honours silence

as the perfect

 balace in

He knows its definition

It  is the voice of

ever same

ever new

It's time we all

It's time!

you've captured the indian's spirit in this insightful tribute ...
an important message ... if you get the chance, read Dream Scene (m) which explores a similiar theme ... you might enjoy it ...

I agree that it is ime to respect the heritage of the American Indian, and I agree that they know and respect mother earth. Even today, on the reservation, they have their ceremonies. I have a friend who is full blooded American Indian ( I forget what tribe), and she lives on the reservation in Shawano County, Wisconsin. She tells us stories of what they do there, and that they still live the life their ancestors lived, to a degree. They keep the beliefs, they keep the ceremonies, they keep their deepest reverence for the powers that be in the spiritual world. Thnx so much for sharing this with us Vesna. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, stubborn to a fault, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little terrified sister, Barbie

Wow! I am awed by this wisdom, Vesna, which I haven't quite thought of in these terms before. As an incurable gas-bag, I acknowledge the truth you have unveiled here and pay it - and the Indian tribes from which it generates - the deepest respect... silently! TY Kate xx

Truly much wisdom here, Vesna - I've been an eager student of Native American culture my entire life - and I have so much yet to learn.
