Trying to befriend my past, or face the haunting truth I never loved my self before or gave my soul its worth I never saw beyond the door of light to let me in I only saw the garden gate with thorns from rose's stems I sat beneath the stars of night and looked for answers then and never knew the answers lie forgiving sins of man I dreamt of love to carry me to places far and wide and then I woke to find his face resemblant of mine
