Not directed at anyone in particular. Just a rant.

the practiced lines
of metered truth
sitting on the tongue
as lies -
repeated time
and time again
until you've convinced
yourself -
what is real and
what's fantasy?
DON'T KNOW -
i can't believe
a thing you say
to me -
i have heard it
a million times
before -
the practiced lines
of metered truth
sitting on the tongue
as lies .

Oh so good! Both the concept and the imagery. And the rhythmic flow is brilliant - difficult to do with short lines. "The practiced lines of metred truth sitting on the tongue as lies". You have this all taped up and in a nutshell. Great write, Karla! TY Kate xx

I think most people are basically as honest as the situation requires and all of us have the capability to lie if necessary. I'm not saying it's right only probable. Good write.
