"ONE WAY STREETS" ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Now that I am older, I've discovered I've fallen in love with life -
No more rushing to get more behind than I was in the first place; no stalls or traffic jams on the streets of life, following the crowds on their paths to success, which normally leads to their destruction. I have driven that road; my bumper wiggles and the muffler farts when I get up to speed ... I'm tired of traveling those one way streets that lead to nowhere fast, so lock the door before you leave because I'm going back to bed.
Now that I am older, I've discovered I've fallen in love with life. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ (c) 2005, Karla Dorman.

| I need to drink in your sage words like water, Karla. I have indeed fallen in love with life but seem to have less and less time to enjoy it! AND my particular bete noir is lateness - leaving home when I should actually BE somewhere... have to admit to being a bull in a china shop when it comes to road politics - but at least I am always polite and no-one would ever know that I am steamed up - OUT THE WAY BLOODY ROAD HOG!! gRRRR! (I aint got a little red car for nothin, you know...!) Wish I was jokin, but, alas, no... standintheKorner Kate xx |

| If a muffler farts, does that make Midas a proctology clinic? A fun write with truth at its core. |

Your next book should be entitled, "I'm Older and Have Fallen in Love With Life What a great line - a first for me. You proved it, too, in your lines of truth and acceptance. Great write for a womoan of your age (Watch it Buster!) - Bill

I'm tired of traveling those one way streets
that lead to nowhere fast,
Truly a feeling many of us share - especially as we get older. |

| Exactly how it should be, Karla, me sweet. As they say 'with age comes wisdom'... I like the way you weave your theme in and out, short line, long line, a bit like life itself, isn't it? There is some really creative expression here like the muffler farting. Good stuff! katy xox |
