a plastic plate
off which i ate

a plastic spoon
fork & a knife
all too soon
a plastic life

a plastic cup too
throw 'em away
when you're thru
a throw away yesterday

plastic people
plastic faces
a plastic steeple
only plastic traces
of today

when you're on the run
when all's said
when all's done
a plastic life's been led
just throw it away
forget yesterday

seek tomorrow
forget your sorrow
seek glass
as life does pass
yeah, if it breaks
there's hearts ache
but it'll pass
broken glass
'leasts it's real
what ya' feal

not plastic
not elastic
not just a throw away
anway
it's today
