In 1990 when our son was born, my mother could not be with me to help with the baby and household needs after my C-section because she had mandatory duties at the school where she taught. My father came instead. That's when this picture was taken. We'd just moved into a new house. Today he is my mother's primary caregiver. She, age 78, is ill. He's 84 now, Norwood Adams.

Happy Fathers Day!

Mother needs him.
The dark horse nearing pasture in late evening
hobbles with love's deliveries.
A halo's light...
Winged sentinels hover, weeping.
The gallant steed carries his damsel,
pulls a wagon overloaded
with family woes.
Daddy. Righteously sound,
Our super glue.

A father from the old school, of greatness, where most molds have been

Yup he does have a kind caring, gentle face...

"Super glue" indeed! They are our rock, arn't they? A handsome man-he has a kind face. That strong chin means character, the high brow is indicative of deep intelligence and his eyes reveal that he's born a lot of pain and sorrow. Cherish him while you can, Nordette...
