Hollow footsteps veiled by night

sadness churns in tortured plight
Willow weeps in loneliness
owl moans in eerie ghostliness

 Unearthly reflections  in glassy lake
my thoughts  again in you awake

As  tears shatter in silent grace
 solace imprints upon  my face

Wind whispers through  willow's leaves
as my heart your absence  grieves

A wish upon my  trembling lips
is lost in mind's  shimmering mists

Weary I sit  beneath an oak
as heavy thoughts my heart choke

I fight the lure of heavenly sleep
and  pray my soul this love to keep

Sadly lost in this journey taken
plagued by fears in  nights awaken

Troubled visions ..thoughts ..ancient play
that seem like beacons ..lives away

Random comforts cannot ease this soul
for I am left with its weary toll

My path has now turned a bend

and only faith in Love ..

will my heart mend

I must say I started off just loving the picture it is really beautiful and stands out. I kind of thought there was no way to write something that could compare to it
and i was right you poem does not compare to the quality of the picture

it exceeded the picture

One can easily lose faith in love.
And it is taking me some journey to have that faith again.

It is worth keeping our Faith in Love, dear friend. Even when - or more especially so - when there is little or no reason to keep that Faith. Love does prevail.
This is a beautiful poem, though imbued by sadness. May the sun shine with a special light for you, soon.
