just a roof over my head
some place ta' lay my bed
just so i know i ain't dead
wanta' go wherever i'm led

don't take much ta' please me
don't ask much but see me
and let me be

20 x 20 an efficiency
sounds effcient ta' me
just somewhere i can be

packin' up my books
takin' second looks
last i can tooks
just me & my books

leavin' home
gonna' roam
gonna' leave
gonna' live
with all i got ta' give

just need a room temporary
a place ta' summary
my life
ain't got no wife
kid's are all grown
shoulda' known
i'd be alone

just a place ta' lay my head
someplace with a bed
just so i know i ain't dead
the story's been said

the book's been read
wanta' go wherever i'm led
just a roof over my head
just so i know i ain't dead

yOU BETTER not be dead, I don't want ya stinkin' up my new camper when you come to visit...maybe you should keep your house, you may need it in the future...or buy yourself a trailer to tow around, like I do when traveling...Ed & Rufuz

Its kind of sad. Lonely. Old and alone. So well written, Steve!
