Love is a way of looking at things; different 'loves' may cause us to view things differently.

Butterfly Eyes

To embrace you too tight
could snuff out, seize, your light
that brings joy, such delight.
Must use butterfly eyes ...
so you won't fly away
as I drift on, can't stay.

Why you? Don't know, don't care,
but you're everywhere ...
within and out. Just THERE
in my butterfly eyes.
In minds touch ... almost ...
you have gotten so close.

I fell completely ... deep.
Feel your presence in sleep;
my heart flutters, I weep
released through butterfly eyes.
Why now and not before
does Future share this door?

Is this real? Will it pass?
Was our meeting a test?
Am I just like the rest
but ... with butterfly eyes?
I'm his for time, to keep
though butterfly eyes tear, seep.

Of him ... I have a need--
so together, one seed.
"Can this love thrive, succeed,"
asks my butterfly eyes.
In my heart there's a place--
not too big, just a space---

for the one who gave me
butterfly eyes ... to see.

Secrets, Lies & Chat by Vena McGrath

The foreward from my book released in 2005 in the USA, revolving around chat on the internet, the men I met on the internet and then in my reality. This is not a pretty love story,..
