Beware when sincerity is the basis for your attraction to a person's stance or advocacy! The demagogue is notoriously sincere.

Undoubtedly you have heard that "the streets of hell will be paved with people who had good intentions."
Think about how much more territory will be allocated in hell for people whose claim to nobleness will be: we were sincere.
Sincerity in and of itself fails the varacity test.
The sincere person stakes his claim on being honest with himself while ignoring truth and reality beyond himself. He accepts himself as determinate and imagines that it is a mistake for him to consider anything else apart from himself as the determinacy.
Human nature is less stable than the natures of other things. Imaginative human beings are prone to live lives that are by illusions possessed. Therefore, it is essntial for the truth-seeker to face reality and turn to manifestations of existence other than himself.
In his chapbook titled, "On Bullshit," moral philosopher Harry G. Frankfurt observes that, "insofar as this ... oneself as the basis of his claim to truth... is the case, sincerity itself is bullshit." Agreed.
Sincerity is not enough. However, it is enough to cause its possessor to self-destruct and anyone believing that his sincerity is the hallmark of exemplary conduct to destruct.
At a minimum, let us heed the wisdom of the "real moral values" philosopher Frankfurt and take sincerity for the bullshit that it really is. And then rid ourselves of the crap that "encraps" the soul and blinds many people to truth and reality.
Possessing this awareness is tantamount to having a passport that permits a person to be catapulted into the truth obit and onto "the road less traveled."
