The bodhisattvas came
Traveling to far Japan,
Eventually searching for
The wells of knowledge.
Where, they left a thought:
That thinking is a
Mist in the mountain forest.

So a zen master looks
Down the long arrow;
Not with eyes that
Are blinded by cloth.
No. With the focus
Of void's bright vision.

Because it is spring,
The plum tree blossoms
With its white petals,
And waits for the
Feathered strike, that is
Flung by a loss of time.
It becomes the moment's meaning,
Satisfied by the voices of birds.

A BIG HAIKU truly! Gorgeously layered with its embroidered wisdom teachings from Eastern philosophy and imagery filtered through your own experience of eternal vision. Beauty and revelation emerge from the lines like a dove from the shadows of a labyrinth.
