‘Midst the Wonder Wander I

There the trickles turn to torrents
Where the mountains meet the plains
There where ‘midst the rolling foothills
Will my heart always remain
I will wander through the valleys
I will climb to gaze from high
While I will marvel at the wonder
I won’t waste time wondering why
That I was put here in this place
Put here at this particular time
‘Tis not for me to ponder
Just to wander and to climb
Where the trickles turn to torrents
There where mountains meet the sky
Down among the rolling foothills
‘Midst the wonder wander I

Wonderful balladic lyric here, Duke, in the most time-honoured tradition of the bards. I love the sense of both the ethereal and the solid gravitas of being bound into Mother Earth - feet on terra firma whilst acknowledging the wonder of it all. Life is to be discovered AND appreciated, which you certainly lead us to here! TY for this and for your visit to my page. Kate x
