Special Walk spring to winter

It was the best day it could be. She took my hand and walked with me. Just me no one else begging for her attention. I was the star. Center of the universe. Her universe my universe. We talked and walked, faith and hope. I shared my dreams. Expressed my love. She did not laugh. She did not pat my head. She listened and then she shared her heart. I was fifteen she was twenty five. She was every thing a boy dreamed of. We sat on a park bench as she began. " I am old but not too old, just old for you now, five years from now it would be ok, even three would be alright but now, not possible. You are smart and feeling, strong of will, gifted in so many ways. I could so easily fall in love with you. On this day lets pretend to be the same age. I will be fifteen with you."

Hearts alive like the trees in the sky
birds sing sweet songs of love
all about the smell of perfume
perfume of love so pure in erupting life

Sky so blue it melted in her eyes
love on the threshold of a flower opening
sweet echoes of joy dancing about from head to toe
touch of fingers in unison a smile

squirrels and rabbit's pausing to talk and share
this moment with us in the glow of early day
perfection in dream and sound about us
from warm lake water to drying sun beams

Escape easy from the trials of daily life
just her and me seeing the world through
the eyes of love and vision cool as soul mates
each moment shared one of precious redemption

Shadows of the day came to close
strange peace escapes between two
passion left to wait for another time
but that kiss of parting lasted until now
