Going on vacation back in two weeks! Thanks all for reading my work.

Dusty Highway

life is a path
a dusty highway

it swirls and blows
in the stormy breeze
of love’s bold journey

the sky is black
and dreams are dark
like lightning of the soul

life is thunderous
a muddy lane

it rains in buckets
from clouds of sorrow
reflected in sadness pools

it shines and glows
creating a rainbow
at the crossroads

life is suffering
standing in the rain

on a dusty highway

That was really deep. I enjoyed it. It made me a little nostalgic and sad. I like the writing style there. very creative.

From that sorrow comes a rainbow--a promise of the sun and a prism of colors. The rain cleanses us and we begin again...

you capture the beginning of an incredible journey. You never know when adventure or love lie ahead and still you plug on ahead. The descriptions paint a picture in your mind. This is brilliant, Dale. Submit to a good magazine.
(P.S. Have a good vacation. I'll miss ya. See ya when ya get back.)
