| Searing and electric, this pulses with full-on heart and soul that is striking, to say the least! Smokin, Paul! Don't know why, but I think about you every time I drive past Stonehenge these days... twice last night, then! This is the kind of sky that is not uncommon up there, no?! And the primaeval emotion to go with it... A high-voltage write, to be sure! LOL Kate xx |

Paul,
I agree with the board, this is stunning! I love this stanza:
"Only a fool fights on
when he knows he cannot win
and giving up is not a sin.
Once I bared my soul and more besides,
for what?
And yes…sometimes even the Devil cries"
The whole poem is exceptional in its emotion,
depth and language! I am appluading!

| Always it seems as if your heart lifts the pen out of your hand and commits to the page the truest and most elegant, even when painful, things that you witness or imagine. The poetry thus rendered, as here in A MISCONCEPTION OF EVE, is never anything less than superb in its integrity, vision, and soulfulness. |
