*grins*

The Poet slept in
and so, his words were never written.
What could we have read
if the Poet hadn't stayed in bed?

The Poet slept late
and so, the book he didn't create.
What could we have read
if only the words had just been said?

The Poet snored on
through the alarm, which was set for dawn.
What could we have read
if he had crawled out from his bedspread?

The Poet slept in
and so, I wrote all the words for him.
Read MY words, instead
'cause the other guy's a sleepyhead!!!!

MORAL:  THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM.

Delightful and true, Karla. I have at times been inspired in the middle of the night and let myself fall back to sleep only to find the inspiration had moved on in the morning. Thank you. Love and peace. Regis
