Damn, I wish I could write like...

So many to speak of, the selected few herein, but too many to write of, still you know who you are and keep writing for ever and always...thanks, Ed

Damn, I wish I could write like…

I wish I could write like another,

I wish I could write like Erin,

Her quill does put out some fine ones,

She writes with the intelligence of a mother…

I wish I could write like Jude,

He may have long hair & live in New York,

But his writes are the most righteous, such a great dude,

He speaks of things like Erin above,

That most times I have to say I don’t understand,

Making me feel like the proverbial dork…

Katy does write of family and humor,

She has a serious side as well, that is the rumor,

She speaks from experience; her writes are the best,

She may be height challenged, but of her writes I am obsessed…

Then there is this guy name of Kostro,

He writes such of Nature, animals and Native American lure,

His writes are most assuredly not green manure,

For the blues and the blahs he definitely has the cure…

The special “K” twins do write quite differently,

Both do write gently and intently,

Their points do get across quite incidentally,

Both should be riding not in a Hummer but a Bentley…

I wish I could write like many I know,

Many I have met and read on this life’s plateau,

On me I wish they all would bestow,

The knowledge they have learned,

And what makes them tick and write with such a glow…

I agree with Jerry, Ed, write like yourself, there is only one of you, you know, in our Universe. If you wrote like any of us, you wouldn't be You.

We are all shaped by our lives, we use what we've gathered, experienced, read, reaped and think upon. And, I think you do 'comprehend', Ed, more than you realize when you read others poetry, it is refelcted in your awareness that you don't understand what and how life 'IS', but, then, none of us do. You are gathering your own individuality, piecing fragments of mind together into what may come to be a ligtning bolt epiphany, where you will soar into yourself, which equates into freeing reason, and flying through imagination, our real reality.

With awareness' come burdens, Ed, the loss of any way back to happier times, to innocence, or its applied facade. I like you just the way you are, appreciative of every day, of dogs and deserts and oceans. Of friends, of wind and of being alive.

Thank you for your most complimentary mention of my writing. I've always thought of Time as a Mother, not a Father, and you honor me with the words:

"She writes with the intelligence of a mother…"

I guess you could say Chaos is the Father of Possibilities, the Anti-Mother. Or, I could say it is so, which I just have. :)

I once made a wish like that. And it set me on the path to writing like I do now. Just write, my friend. You are a unique voice on the den. I can't think of anyone else who has a Rufuz barking in their corner.
