Each September

Each September
the air burns new.

The blasting violence of
commercial planes
burst again into flames
of the Twin Towers.

Never meant to be flown through,
a season of annilation
explodes and re-explodes, annually.
The passengers, tourists,
all those office workers
who became
random particles
of grey soot,
falling back to earth
mingled with the massive
skyscraper
remains.

Remember
five thousand missing,
day five,
no one expected to be alive?
New York City
moves in a gelatin of shock.
Blinders knocked off?
Each September,
repeating,
into forever.

Kathy,

A vivid rememberance...and that is why we should never forget. Thank you for remembering in such a powerful way.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(
