Sometimes you meet someone who exudes a dynamic energy coming from an inner flame that burns through their gaze while their pens set fire to their words.

I composed this piece many months ago and I included it in my Blog but many people do not read Blogs. So in honor of Aberjhani's birthday I decided to share it with the world.

Archetype of a Soulsinger

I.
I saw a man  whose eyes
burned craters in my spirit.
Whose stories, born in his magnetic gaze, told me he
knew intimately the tormenting anguish of falling off
revelations onto corroded  spears of ugly  truths. Looking
into  his eyes  I saw  visions of  blood running though
streets of malignant sorrows where people were gunned
down by bullets of despair, oppression, bigotry, greed.
This enigmatic soulsinger turned the blood of malignant
sorrows into sweet  golden wine with sagacious words
he penned on the open wings  of crooning skylarks
dressed in black.* The mystical genesis of his words was
forged from rivers of ancestral blood that flowed from
the painted sunsets of an ancient untamed Africa to the
concrete jungles of an urban Savannah and every ocean,
sky, womb, grave, truth and lie in between.

II
.
Everywhere streets littered with bodies distorted  with
hatred and his words, like crimson roses, fell from laughing
skies fertilizing the barren seeds of joy, love and  peace
within each mutilated body of hatred they touched. His
allegories painted visions of radiant miracles of  pulchritudinous
promises dancing naked on the lap of megalomania while
manifesting a blooming christmas tree from horrific memories
of unbearable tragedy. The power in his words purged
clean the weeping holes of festering gut wounds made by
t
oxic  kisses sucked dry  by lovers and enemies who cried
and died in his shadow with half closed eyes. This bard's
metaphors  will  be your  salvation  when  your scars  talk
maximum shit to your face.

III.
His parables penetrate, permeate, pierce like roots of ancient
venerable trees that thrust through the crust down to the core
forever searching for the luminous waters of living knowledge.
His words lush as any verdant crown stretching over my world
of falling leaves veined with wisdom, dropping little seeds of
recognition that whispered to my aura: I know you. We've dodged
the same bullets of despair and oppression swam in the same
black clotted blood of sorrow. We are mirrored experiences
manifesting through words on the pages of Time.

IV.
The meanings behind the words from this enigmatic bard split
into diverse cultures of themselves becoming incandescent
civilizations of thought that evolved into epic histories of
understanding showing how without hatred love cannot bloom,
without chaos peace cannot reign, without sorrow joy cannot
grow, without darkness light cannot shine. This soulsinger
whose penned words shaped those crimson roses that fell
from laughing skies, raining  shiny  beginnings on rueful
endings, silenced the wailing horizons with kisses of  peace
cascading from his heart to the tips of his fingers.

V.
The soulsinger, Aberjhani.

An absolutely stunning tribute! Where have your words been all my life? Sometimes... to see the light, we must traverse the darkness. (I'm sure someone must have said that already, but your words made me say it just now). I love every bit of this endearing tribute. -- Jeff

I have to totally endorse the evident awe and admiration of Eileen here, Mari! THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME, STUNNING AND BREATHTAKING! Not only - if it were possible! - have you captured what we know of the soul of the man of heart and soul, but you have also captured the spirit and sentiment of his written flavour and style in your wholly glowing and worthy, spot-on tribute. And, like Eileen, this is the best tribute piece I have seen anywhere. You are at your very shining best in this write, Mari, I think, and it is easy to see how and why you are inspired. I am in out-and-out admiration here. Bless you and thank you for your loving support on my pages today. I greatly appreciate it. LOL and fab to have you back! Kate xx

I have fiddled and fiddled with this to get the layout the way I actually wrote it... but the only way I can get the lines to stop splitting up is to make the font smaller... which I am not going to do, but it is why I use small font. I can't figure out how to make the lines stop splitting... The Blog, where this piece can also be found, is small font but the lines are not spilt up...
