"As gradually I slip out of me"

No One No More

I feel myself fading slipping away
Perhaps it will not be necessary
After all as I thought after the fall
For me to commit suicide someday
As gradually I slip out of me

The restraint which has kept me here this long
The question of my culpability
My blood on my own hands becomes less strong
As I do and begins to fade with me

On dreadful websites whenever I say
Anything about not wanting to live
The judgmental mockingbirds come chirping
"Just die! Go ahead! You ought to be dead!"

Blindly anonymously usurping
Nature and nurture nor will they forgive
Me their misperception that I am gay
Would that I were had never known her nor
The others I once thought I would die for

Forget me I just need to get away
And die only for me: no one no more

It is good to express one's feelings and to share them with others, Stevie. Just ignore the "negative" and stick with those who love you. Love, peace, and strength to you. Regis

Collapsing me is becoming a habit, I see, Stevie. I can handle it, if reading such fine poetry and such warm comments is the cause.

Your alliteration lends so nicely to the rhythm "Nature and nurture nor will they forgive..."

Oh, and it sounds like you may need 'katy's lecture #329 on suicide. I have the script handy... you stay alive and I'll get it. Don't move!

I just found a new friend... don't be doing yourself harm. Got it?

(and stay away from those "dreadful websites") Ahem... 'you have poems to write before you sleep... poems to write before you sleep...' (Sorry, Mr. Frost) katy xox

A dark write my friend but not without hope, I think your refernces to past loves, inferred sexuality by others and peer support say a lot that you know what is best for the future and it is not death at least not by your own hand.

Aw, yes, you saiy that, but you need us and those of your peers around you when you decided to die, otherwise you would be silent, Steven. You are too much of a pragmatic (I think) to be thinking that way.

For you with little Faith

Slip back in and tie a knot.
Who cares what others think.
