Today I sit and recall the time we spent together

How you stood by me through the rocky weather

Time spent on that old porch swing

Now it all seems like a lost dream

I remember all the songs you taught us kids

And all the selfless things you did

You were more like a friend than a grandmother

Your love for us kids was like no other

You stood by us and guided us along the way

It was like you always knew what to say

Even when your life got ruff

For us kids you were tuff

Despite a tremendous battle with lukemia that lasted ten years

To us kid you had no fears

With the battles you faced

Other pain you still manged to erase

You put us before yourself many times

You pulled us all out of our binds

You may have been our grandmother

But to most of us you were so much more

You  gave us more than we bargained for

But now you are in heaven looking down

Hope you like what you see here on the ground

Even though you are up there now

I know you are with us all somehow

So until the moment we meet again

I Love you my granny, my friend

I can't stop using the word touching. Love it! That's why I can't read any sort of card that is too emotional in a store. I'll cry. *grin*----- Words touch my soul. They always have!
