Part of the Vine

One of Jesus' most vivid metaphors is John 15. "I am the vine, you are the branches."

The True Vine is a:
Green leafy organism is flush with tendrils and blossom potential-
I am just a:
branch, a segment of the True Vine.
a restful branch, not a rugged individual
 self-involved and self-loving.

Branches don't ponder

fertilizer and sunshine or even location.

A branch simply
 clings, grows, and produces.

Let me be vigorous with praise, faith, and humor; purge me of fungal negativism.

Ouch!  That pruning hurt but I lost nothing

but a little dead wood.
