The more you live, the more you realise

Life’s full of promises… life’s full of lies…

It’s not easy to be smart…

To tell lies from truth it is hard to learn,

Merits for honesty is hard to earn…

Harsh lessons can life impart…

How many times can a heart be broken?

“Love” can be nothing more than a token…

We live, acting a small part,

That lasts for a moment… and than it’s gone…

Yet, how wonderful it is to live on,

Even with a shattered heart.

A heart is never truly shattered. It can become damaged and we may believe 'beyond repair' but the truth is that even the worst of wounds will heal if you forgive the past. A great write Peter. I look forward to reading more of your work.
