Donít kiss me
If you can only kiss me goodbye
Keep your I love youís
If you arenít going to stay
Being loved from afar
May be fine in some story
But I want my loving close at hand
Where I can feel it late at night
I want your kisses
To wander down my body
Not a bunch of xís
At the end of an email
Stay with me or say so long
I donít want your kisses
If they are only goodbyes

There is much truth in this write, Sue. It is always difficult to see a loved one leave, especially when in some instances, they are leaving only to never again return. I guess we can only keep them with us if they wish to stay, but parting is never easy.
Powerful and strong write with a very clear message.
Thanks,
Jill

Heartbreakingly astute is the premise behind the words of this very well-written little poem. Socially unacceptable are the idea of loving from afar because loving words are one thing, but loving hands are quite another.
