everyone's writin a rhymn
I guess this time is mine
I have a book or two or three
sent by you given to me
never forgotten will you be
forever in my mind will you be free
poet, lover friend
seek not the answer in the end
look at the now
look at the how
believe somehow
believe in the wow
forever you'll be read
forever I'll be fed
by your words
your thoughts
those unheard
those I've fought
forever in me
from you my friend
forever free
til the end

I will sing a song or two
An offering thus honoring you
In remembrance of your life sojourn
I'll read your poems each day at dawn
Be at peace Oh Poet Blue
You still have MUCH living to do!

Ah,
I heard a voice whispering in the night,
speaking of time passing to quickly by,
choices made that could not be taken back,
loving now before it is too late,
reaching out into the darkness,
hoping to feel a welcoming touch...
I felt the loneliness in that cry,
the dark despair hoping to be heard,
A whisper in the night,
that I could not let pass by;
unanswered.
and when you come no longer,
to fill these blank pages with words,
that are heard by all,
I shall turn back the pages,
and read of your life,
your love,
your honor,
and even your despair.
I will whisper to your soul as you pass by,
Be at peace,
your voice was heard... |
