We Can Always Hope and Dream

To dream a dream of love....

We Can Always Hope and Dream

Drifting, drifting, drifting

Floating on the currents of lost time

Like a feather lightly wafting

In a breeze no one can see

Still echoing loves memories

Of my love for you and yours for me

Falling, falling, falling

Deep into passions murky depths

I call out your name

Hoping you can hear me call

You will rescue me

As more in love I fall

Holding, holding, holding

To the chance that cannot be

A long shot full of empty hope

Yet hope is all I have to hold

Hope and dreams of love so rare

I can not predict tomorrow

I can only hope you are there

Dear Felix,

My favourite quote:

"You see things; and you say
"Why?"
But I dream things that never were; and I say
"Why not?"
~ George Bernard Shaw ~

If not for Hope; can we dream? and if not to Dream; can we hope ?
Are these not the essentials that make us unique, and keep us going, without which we would merely be empty! We have to live for something, why not "hopes and dreams?" Hope is never "empty". May all yours be realized.

An eloquent write, so full of tenderness Felix.

warm hugs

Felix, the mood you set for this write is one of hope. You have shown that through hope, even a long shot can survive.

I agree with Denise and Sherry, this poem reads like a song lyrics.

Your poem is like pounding out notes on a piano over and over, hoping that they will find a sticking spot in our soul from which they will resound upon the wind and awaken love from its shadowed sleep. Very nice poem, Felix!
Take care,
Sherry

Felix,

Dear Poet, I will be here, as long as you keep writing these beautiful words! (I can always hope and dream, can't I? *grins*)

Seriously, this is precious--flows like a song. :)

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :)
