How can we live to be old and ripe...?

...humor, again sort of...?

How can we live to be old and ripe…?

Is that not a kind of contradiction?

Isn’t it as one does age they just get older?

Getting ripe is only for fruit,

Getting old unfortunately is a human affliction,

I know none of us wish to die,

As we are the same, we have to life an addiction…

So when one does get ripe,

Does that not mean they smell like tripe,

To the gods I would if I did die before my time, gripe,

So what is it about old age that brings all this hype…?

Just to grow old would be for me enough,

To do so with love from Rene and Rufuz, life wouldn’t be rough,

Live we do till we cannot live anymore,

Then comes the time when we cannot arise from the floor…J
