Though my heart speaks deep and soft,
you, my love may only keep its kisses.
All my years in knowing you were here
yet never did appear
'til almost lost.

And to the air, the listening air, I've spoken ~
compassion's ear bent down to hear
and sent an angel now and then
not knowing who
my yearning need appear

Until, once lost, that presence most divine
and never fully mine,
You came,
in fullness of receiving
and grateful to my lone and mourning heart
for giving you the whole of me
and calling you my all;

For in you dear, is all my wanting ~
shines in you that presence most divine
whose power kept me on my knees
in prayerful supplication ~
for nothing do you lack
and carry all the sweetness of my soul's lost years.

My dear and darling man,
how I love you here with me,
and there is not another who may keep my kisses ~
none to hold the treasure of my heart, but you.
