A Place for Me?

"As you have blessed me now I would bless you / For what might have been might always still be"

A Place for Me?

Passing through a long dark tunnel I came

Out on the far side at the other end

Of a nightmare one which I need not blame

On anyone now I just need a friend

A true friend like you who helped me break through

I hope you will stay the rest of the way

With me as my eyes adjust to this light

It could be that I need to learn to see

All over again after that dark night

Of my soul now as I heal to be whole

Once more I remember what friends are for

Friends are for loving and so I love you

What I wished for back in the dark came true

To have a friend and I need wish no more

Here on the far side at the other end

Of a nightmare all I need is a friend

And should you ever need a place to stay

There is within my heart a vacancy

Where you could stay a lifetime or a day

Here with me in friendly propinquity

As you have blessed me now I would bless you

For what might have been might always still be

We know we are friends and our hearts are true

Is there within your heart a place for me?

Stevie. You are accepted by a lot more people here than you seem to think. A lot of people read and do not leave reviews or thoughts. That does not mean that they have not been "touched" by your sentiments. I believe this to be the case here. Take care. Love and peace.
