... Yes, I know. But it IS Friday and I HAVE got needles on the brain, honest! :)) (Hmmm... needles ON the brain or IN the brain, I wonder...) Besides which it is a breath of fresh air from trawling through skeletons and is also to counteract the grumpiness of putting on weight... Heigh ho, it is all enough to make a girl take to the larder with the biscuit tin. Have a great weekend, Folks! xx

You are a colour I canít quite name
and a face I canít imagine.

You are the scent of an unknown skin,
the sign to a path not yet taken.

You are a sudden intake of breath,
the thrill of unexpected pleasure

and the pressure of a bodyweight
that expels a delicious sigh...

You are a taste of the glittering prize,
the splendour of a bloodless
snow field of peace.

The quickened pulse at my temples,
the aching throb in my throat,
you are the sharp prick
at my point of need.

I've caught up all the poetry I missed in your den and feel a little sad that my literary feast for this evening has come to an end. I console myself with the knowledge that you will be back with more inspired brilliance to tantalise our creative taste buds. I've often thought 'If only I could write like that...' but there is only one Kate Burnside and nobody could hope to emulate your style. We can only be the best that we can be. Thank you for inspiring me to reach beyond myself. I feel the need to wrrrrrrrrrrrrite!!! lol
Take care beautiful person

To be able to have someone who knows you well enough to be there at the very moment that you need them is a blessing within itself. Weight on/Weight off...we are women for heaven's sakes, it is what we do!!!! You look lovely, and you are such a lovely lady. What more could another wish of you? Your soul shines always, Kate!
Take care,

sometimes the "dangerous" nature of experience merges into the eloquence of a sharp yet precise moment of appreciation ... and in those moments, the prize of peaceful communication tantalizes the mind and excites the soul ... excellent poem, Kate ... the imagery is wonderful ...

An intoxicating rush of nearly mystical sensuous lyricism that pulls the reader deep inside the heightened vibrations of the poet. The ecstasy reported becomes the ecstasy experienced. A truly marvelous write:-)
