A prayer
by Mocha Sistah


Here I pray
Brown hands closed in
but thoughts opened
for the master to help
me master my mind and soul
and spirit
To uplift the world
through thoughts, positive
thoughts that are meant flow,
this is where my prayer goes.
Here I pray.
No soul searching, really.
Just wishing on a deep prayer
that the world will see the
truth -- that life is short
and we must embrace each moment fully.
That we should not wait until a Hurricane hits us, or if we lose a job, to know that God is in control.
That his will WILL be done.
That it is not about us, but about him using our bodies, minds, and spirits as living testimonies.
That we must give to our fellow man.
Give of our gifted hands.
And be there in ways that will astound others.
That its not only about positive thoughts, but about us helping the world realize that though we all might come from different backgrounds, the simple truth is that --- we bleed, we cry, we die the same.
That every moment is meant to do something great with the time we hold in our hands.
That time is our enemy and that we don't have time to continue to complain about things.
That we must embrace every single breath of life, we are joyously
given.
