O dear spirit, raise your sail up high
And catch the healing winds
As they flourish around your eyes

And never fret on the unknown
Or the seas that are dark and deep

Maintain your inner beauty
With the light you always reap

O kindred spirit, your energy is so very strong
And the verve of lifes momentum
Resonates through your hearts enduring song

And remember that devils are but forgotten angels
Disguised as blackened doves

So maintain your enlightened perspective,
Celebrate the life within you
And feel the pulse of love

This is totally gorgeous, and the poetics are beautiful. It trims the sails for venture and conquest. Inspiring and invigorating, this makes me long for the huge dunes at Tarifa (sob!) and that Big Wave that shifts the continents like so much flotsam and jetsam on the mighty waters... and the pulse is strong, no worries! :)) Spirit's heart will win over all the arguments of the head EVERY time and will steer a true course through all the prevailing storms. When faith and vision come together in the will of God, nothing can stand in their way because their journey is fuelled divinely. I have been gazing out of my window today at the mellow fruitfulness which accompanies the dying and "sleeping"; all to nurture the new life which will emerge next spring. Evolution is a wondrous thing. So is this season in some of our lives, perhaps, which your gracious and bountiful words speak into. And love is the underpinning force by which the universe, as we perceive it, is maintained in its fruitful state... Bit tired, but I hope you get what I mean... LOL Kutty Sark Kate xx

You poem is so strengthening and inspiring, Jude. We must celebrate every moment we have on earth and know that our value is great. We have strength more than we ever have believed we could muster and faith abundant. This life is ours alone, yet we affect everything else in the universe through our presence.
Take care,
Sherry

Oh, my word, Shaman Strudel. Knowing how the Den is with some folks around here who think our poetry is always about other poets on the Den, I suppose I'd better go on record here and say that the poem I just posted this morning "Dumb Bird" which mentions a "dove" and failed love is NOT related to this poem. That is, you posted this poem last night, EST (the Den's clock is PST), and I posted my poem in the middle of the night, actually this morning. First I posted it in my blog which will show as 12:XX AM something, but it was really 3:XX AM something here on the east coast. I woke up around 2:30 AM after falling asleep around 10:00 or 11:00 PM. This morning was the first time I read this beautiful poem of yours which speaks to me in a special way, NOT saying it's about me, but that it touches me on a weird level right now. What a cool coinkydink. You're just so spooky sometimes.

Gee, why did I go into this long explanation. Whoa! Haven't we been through the gossip mill enough? ROFL *smooches* Remind the girlfriend, I'm like so harmless. ~~Nordette
