All of us have our own unique and special way with dealin with loss, some pray, some curse the Gods, some block out their memories and some drink but others have their own way as well that are just as important to them as praying at a gravesite...

A Tattooed Heart In Downy Fur

By Felix L. Perry

There’s a small red heart tattooed with a girls name etched above

Beneath soft downy fur in a private place where very few will see

A lover might, if on a special night, he holds this lady lovingly

Now some may think thid, a strange place to remember and honor one so dear

That tiny angel child lost so soon to God’s own special eternity

But below that heart she was conceived through love adoringly

A part of her mother’s heart was woven in her babt angel wings

When the Lord’s Angels guided her heavenly

That heart tattoo is so a part, of her mothers loving memory

She don’t expect to be understood, especially not by some

Her fragile mind so lost in pain, works just a little differently

It matters not cause as she caresses her tiny tattooed heart…

She remembers her baby in her arms forever loving her forever tenderly.

Felix,

Permanently stained on our memory, the loss of a child. I know this one, well...even though "it" was considered a miscarriage, "it" was a baby. My baby.

Powerfully and emotionally penned, my friend, thank you. Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Tattooed with ink, or tattooed with pain, both stay forever. Just like the ink, the pain too grows dimmer with time, but never does it fade completely.
This is a beautiful and caring write, Great work again Felix!

She remembers it all
And through the night she calls
Out to those who understand
Those who take her gentle hand
And relish in her presence
The pain and love past and present tense

Beautiful Write!
