Inspired by the principles of AA and Alanon

Today is just today,
this minute, this second
Today is not ruled by yesterday
Only flavored by it
Tomorrow is a blank slate
Without chalk that crosses time
We cannot write on it
We can have hopes and dreams
But tomorrow will come with,
Its own agenda
Today we work and hope tomorrow comes
Without the pain of past, distant memories
In itís own right,
this minute,
this second
Is all we have
One day at a time
One day at a time!

I appreciate the truth spoken in your words; yesterday is gone and today has a clean slate. Words of wisdom written from a heart that understands the value of living "just for today." Excellent read!

Very well said, always live in the moment, it's all we have. Never worry over what was or what is coming, just what is at the moment.
Good advice.

"One day at a time" shines on the pages of life.
Its inspiring lines made me get this message:
"Those that don't care for today won't have energy to interpret
the dreams of tomorrow."

Thank You, Poet!

Keep posting.
