A winter morning tale in Orlando
Somehow that seems like an oxymoron
Iím freezing
doesnít matter that itís only fifty
Iím still freezing
and it doesnít seem to bother the dog
heís races out the door
to crap on the lawn
and put his face into a cool breeze
and the wood pecker
is still trying to chop down my oak tree
the cats seem to think
cold equals massive amounts of energy
and for some reason
energy must be spent
so they have taken chase
racing up one stair case
down the other
three maniac cats
with a dog right behind
barking his happy little head off
I havenít seen my hawk yet
heís up there
I can hear him occasionally
screaming in the wind
he usually doesnít perch on my
shower window
until spring
not sure what it is
heís watching
maybe me

Pretty good Sara. I like the flow. Animals do seem to become more active in cool weather....especially the cats.

I have noticed over my years of living that animals, for the most part, love cold weather. And why not? They ALL have fur coats.

If it was 50 degrees here, I'd be out on my lawn in my skivvies - sunbathing! Right now, it's about 20 degrees, and snowing, and my dogs still want to go out and crap.

I love that graphic, Sara!
