Mausoleum

A mausoleum enshrouds
the relics
of my past.

The photo of that girl,
her mind,
where is she?

Eyes bright with curiousity,
arms open to receive,
she welcomes life,
she shakes off what
is not liberty.

Licenses,
framed handsomely,
perched on the bookcase
will soon expire.

They require more
training to maintain.
Although I'm no longer
practicing,
I want my name in a frame.

A calender of gardens.
Twelve mystical landscapes
to dream my way into.
And now the last.
The year is through.

I meet
the finite probabilities
with my heart in past.
I want things to last.
I want people to stay.

No more losses.
I'll be entombed
by memory.
I must step outside
my Mausoleum.
