An early morn’s blanket of snow
covering the landscape with pure white
No brown-death of leaves and flora
to remind all of warmth of yesterdays.
Covering the landscape with pure white,
colder North winds blowing down
to remind all of warmth of yesterdays -
snuggling close to the heating stove.
Colder North winds blowing down
A snowstorm brews without;
snuggling close to the heating stove
as hot cocoa simmers its aroma
A snowstorm brews without;
within there is a coziness
with hot cocoa simmering its aroma.
My love and I enjoy each other’s warmth, watching.
Within there is a coziness
no brown-death of leaves and flora;
my love and I enjoy each other’s warmth, watching
an early morn’s blanket of snow.
