I couldn't chase the feel of fondling
That arose as the misty morn kept me
In bed under covers chasing dreams
For the first time in a long while

Thoughts swam around in my brain juices
And played with the palpitating patterns of
My imagination which ran rampant in riotous
Colors, as I felt an intensity ignite my id

Magical motions ministered with devotion
From some enchanting unseen apparition
There ensued a delightful labyrnthine dance
So serpentine my brain was entranced

Who would believe that an ordinary daydream
Could become one of wild, whimsical play
That by the time it was over I was floating
On a cloud, and you were calling to me
Asking for directions on how to get here

I love your graphics as much as your poetry. Do you make them yourself? If so, I envy your talent.

Dreams, especially those that come during the time we are awake, are the main sources of imagination. Without them the engine of creativity can never be fueled.Wondeful poem. GBQ

Most interesting, intriguing and stimulating. I don't daydream nearly enough. If I did, my daydreams would be about the beach. Excellent poem, Eileen.

LOL!!! loved that last line, Eileen! This is a stunning write, I loved every bit of it. I think that daydreams can even be more fun than reality, sometimes. We can stretch ourselves in ways that we probably never would in the real world and we also have total control over all others we place within them...gotta go, my brain is churning and I am feeling the heat rising...LOL

Take care,

Sherry
