A Dream

I had a dream last night
Everything seemed so right
Everyone was there
It was like an answer to a prayer
We was a family once again
Everyone was welcomed in
Brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins
All together without fussin'
It was a perfect dream, but a dream is all it will ever be
Because no one wants to be a really family
I woke up in tears knowing it'd never be true
Feeling like such a fool
Dreaming of the family we use to be
Back when we was a family
Now we each go seperate ways
We don't even got together on holidays
Ever since the two back bones of the family passed on
The  love is gone
A dream is all I have of loving family now
I'll hold on to that somehow
Memories and dreams keep them alive in my heart
When in reality my family has fallen apart

I know this of which you write, Pam. I hope for good resolution and compassion will do it. Love and peace to you,

your desire to unite your family again is very strong ... perhaps they are dreaming the same thing ...

Great theme! And so sad. In RUNNING ON EMPTY, River Phoenix's girlfriend says, "All families break up." Very poignant.

Being a sibling of nine, I find that many friends are now my family.
The old saying we can choose our friends... But just love every minute with your son.. I would give up everything if I can get to see my little soldier again after five long years...
