Now you mind me...LOL

Memories of dad driving,

Mom, to keep kids calm, she was striving,

Lost in a snow storm, kids crying & scared,

Don’t worry dad would say, by God’s grace we will be spared…

Long trips in old cars,

Stopping off with dad at the bars,

Mom blurring all the pictures she took,

An unsteady hand, while riding she read a book…

Cruising along sightseeing in Canada,

Going too slow, told to speed up by a cop,

Dad got mad, blew the cop off the road,

Man that old Hemi Chrysler had a lot of go,

Never slowed down till to the border we got…

Some interesting memories stayed with you, Ed. Those are better than the Hallmark kind, in my opinion.

Oh this brought back "dear" drunken driving memories!!

I remember my dad been a little too "brandied UP" wanted to take a pee...was standing next to the middle beam and pissed on my brothers foot. Mom lost it...and one helluva fight started and that was the fastest our Chevy ever went...and us kids thought it was COOL!!

Say no more what happened when we got home!! Never made it to our "Holiday by the sea!!

Love Tinka
