Gaugin's Tahitian landscape

As poets we can beguile
With wily words
We can entrance with
Verbs that dance
We can astound with
Proper nouns
We can relive
With  adjectives
We can fragment
When we  vent
It's easy to function
With conjunctions
The proper preposition
Can help our position

Topics are the meat of
Our poems we like to eat
Love with lustful innuendo
Is a favorite on the menu
Others prefer  gothic mood
Pleasing if you like to brood
From demons in the dark abyss
To angels of light, and heavens kiss
Whether it be overt or obscure
With poets it's always an adventure

We honestly can agree as an AD family of writers:

How hard, oh hard desperately hard those words are to come by sometimes. But we never give up. Loved this Sis. Eileen!
blessin's (and by the way, the character in my "Exhibitions" story has nothing to do with you. . . the name Eileen just came to me. Wanted to set the record straight on that since you are NOTHING like that crazy money-grubbing midlife golddigger in the story sequence.)

The firey artwork illustrates your lush words so well, Eileen! Writing can become both a fuelling and intoxicating drug and a blessed release; we can immerse and lose ourselves or we can find ourselves. We can build up and tear down, as the Bible so aptly says. We can fantasise or be totally and nakedly real. Such a wonderland coupled with an awesome responsibility of duty and care, it seems to me. But ADVENTURE it certainly is, and you are always a premier frontiersman cutting the trail ahead of the rest of us in terms of the vast amounts of ground you cover and explore. Just wish I could lose myself there in Tahiti for a bit..!! Yes, Christmas-phobia is settin in already... :)) TY LOL Kate xx

Ahhh the clever workings of a poetic mind...onto which path will they wonder today? Sometimes it is simply a word heard that kicks the write into the moment. I admire those who keep pen and paper handy all the time so that when the muse speaks they can take heed. Me, I just allow it to amuse me then forget it when I try to put it onto a page...sighs...when will I ever become a serious writer?
Take care,
Sherry

Its an addictive adventure you wouldnt want to miss...
With the power of words we create...and recreate our lives and world...that awesome power must be centered and focussed on bringing light and goodness into the hearts and souls of as many people we can reach or touch... now and in the future.
You are one of the foremost poets Eileen in broadcasting enlightenment through your favored pen.
