Becoming

I've seen people live
and slowly die
without awakening.
Others who,
living through tragedy,
become it.

I've also witnessed those
who feel unloved
discover yes,
love is attainable,
and meant
for them.

I've known people who,
shown the doors
of possiblity,
step through.

To learn the language
slipping on the air of
the woods at nightfall,
to follow the language
of the wind.

The language of now.
The language
inside the breath,
the language of all living creatures.
