I shouldn’t have taken that final toke
For I’d already had way too much to smoke
I should have quit on the prior song
And politely passed the bong on along
But I didn’t and I whirlied out
And just damned near left my feet
For Christ’s sake, what will Jesus think
When I kneel before His judgment seat?

I shouldn’t have taken that final hit
And now I think I’m gonna pay for it
A pill to pop, to kill the pain
The pain to great to even wane
But I did it and I stumbled
And crashed into the wall
And I thought to myself as I lay there
This is the mostest fun of all

I shouldn’t have taken that final shot
That double shot of “Old Forget-Me-Not”
I should have tossed back none of them
I taste a very nasty taste of phlem
But I did it and I still show the scar
From where my face crashed into the bar
And then for the love of God
My “friends” got me poured into my car

I shouldn’t have smoked that final fag
But the addict can’t resist a drag
I should have stomped it out instead
A foul taste is in my mouth
But I went and lit ‘er up instead
It burns my lungs – it hurts my head
And will more than likely be the reason
On the day that I drop dead

Reminds me of the old days, Duke.

You put it perfectly.

Take your bong with you when you kneel in front of Christ, I'd bet he would understand...and about "shouldn'ts", we can shouldn't ourselves all day long, but in the end we have to realize it is our life, we do what we do and need too...live it...Ed & Rufuz
