Memories keep the warmth from inside forever, even in the darker days. Wonderful sharing!

This is one inspired write that warms the soul of the reader, Ron. You touch on all the beauty of Christmas with family, snow, the beauty of icicles and the birds of winter who bring soft sounds to the quiet of falling snow. The smell of wonderful meals cooking and the toasty warm of the fireplace and a cup of homemade cocoa. Life seemed so simple then, yet more than that I blieve it was the attitude that all was right with the world. We tried to find the good in life back then, now it seems we are not happy unless we are complaining about what is wrong. I love this write, it really brings home the warmth that is Christmas.
Take care,
Sherry

This one really resonated with me Ron! So many loving memories of past Christmases and as you say parents or other family telling us stories of horse sleighs, etc. Totally beautiful one to treasure. Thank you!

what a poignant and timely write. our memories are what make us who we are...i wonder what would happen if we let them go, and lived in the moment, not even taking time to wonder about the future? a thoughtful and prescient write, poet. thank you for sharing and, happy holidays!

Never had a sleigh ride, but I would dearly LOVE to run my jeep through all that snow...you have such vivid memories, as I on the other hand must be burned out from drugs and such, I only recall certain things...mostly, unfortunately, bad things...Find Peace and Happiness this day and every day of the coming year, Ed *&* Rufuz
