" Make your mark on this plumbing the depths of your soul....and shining like Venus in the evening sky ..."

Now is the time to put things right

Remove all those fears and vices

From  within your heart

Sweep the new broom

From neglected corner to corner

With winnowing fan

Clear away all the chaff

Because it is residual sin

That drags you down

Make a conscious decision

To have a new start

Contrition ad compunction

Are the first crucial steps

Remember when you hurt someone,

You also hurt yourself

The Golden Rule means

The first will be the last

And when all is said and done,

Love stands magnificently alone

Consider this,

We are here today and gone tomorrow

What does it cost, to truly find yourself

No price on earth is equal to your honour

Protect your sanctitiy for all your worth

It is the indefinable gift,

You have been blessed with since birth

Your words highlight your quote brilliantly and both speak like a clarion call to me in the here and now. Time invested in stopping to make honest assessment is never wasted... but sadly many feel themselves to be so hard-pressed that it seems easier just to press on with "what we already know" than to consider making much-needed adjustments. You are so right... we need to slow down in order to live sharper and faster. Personal sanctity and sovereignty are the two major pillars of having a healthy self-esteem, perhaps. Seems to me that these are the traits that modern life most seeks to rob us of. TY, Peter. Great thoughts here. LOL Kate xx

Old habits die hard, no matter how bad or destructive. It takes hard work to keep ourselves out of trouble and on the clear, but it surely is worth it.

Yes, step up to the mirror and pay close attention to what you see, setting aside an aisle for clearing the used up and worn out, and then reinstate spiritual discipline, followed by extending an act of kindness for someone. Consider it done, Peter! Fetching my broomcorn straw.
